DescriptionThis presentation will provide a look into the relationship between social and behavioral researchers and community organization leaders from the perspective of the community organization. The presentation begins with a look at the love at first sight phase when idealistic community organizations realize the opportunity of grant-funded projects and savvy social scientists see under-studied fields. The presentation will continue through dating (getting to understand the basic differences between the two entities and benefits of the relationship) through marriage and eventual understanding that the two working together can produce great information and outcomes. The presenters will relate their personal experience in working with researchers on a number of organ donation projects funded by HRSA's Division of Transplantation
