Description |
Pierre Cossette discusses his book, “Another Day in Showbiz.” He begins by explaining that he grew up in Pasadena, went to UCLA, and worked as a musical booking agent in Las Vegas. He describes how he sold musical acts to hotels when new structures were being built. He talks about some of the stars he has worked with such as George Burns, Ann-Margret, John Denver, Celine Dion, and Tony Danza. He describes how he started the Grammy Awards on television, and how no network wanted to air it at first. Cossette talks about how he got his start doing Broadway musicals and live variety shows. He ends the interview by describing the ridiculous requests that some celebrities make before performing a show. The interview was probably taped in 2003. |
