Stuart Farrell Tower discusses his novel , “The Wayfarers.” He begins by explaining that the book is about a retired businessman who lives in Beverly Hills and travels to Romania to find out about the life of his father . He talks about a group of young Jewish men who would march by foot across Europe called the Wayfarers . Tower shares that his own family came from Ukraine , but that he decided to write this story because he was fascinated by the group of walking men . He discusses how he would call researchers in other countries for information , and how many people were willing to help him with facts . He ends the interview by describing ancestral relationships in the book , and family secrets that the main character finds out about .
