Walter Anderson discusses his autobiography, “Meant To Be.” He begins by talking about coming home from the Marines because of the death of his father. During this time, his mother reveals to him that another man was actually his biological father. Anderson talks about being physically abused as a child and his decision to enter the Marines. He describes many role models he’s had throughout his life, and how they inspired him to attain a good education and succeed. He talks about his friendship with Elie Wiesel and their discussions about what it means to be Jewish. He ends the interview by talking about the psychological effects that child abuse has on adults. |
