Description
Bradford Morrow discusses his novel , “Giovanni’s Gift.” He begins by explaining that the book is based on a real experience of a stalker harassing his aunt and uncle . He came out to visit them and while he was spending some time trying to catch the stalker , the idea for the book came to him. He describes how the front cover of the book was a cigar box that his aunt gave him as a gift , and he uses the objects he found in the box throughout his novel . Morrow talks about how he wanted to mix genres and give his story elements of murder mystery , classical mythology , and romance . He ends the interview by discussing the next novel he is working on and the challenges of setting a novel in an urban environment after writing about country life .
