Description |
Michael Halperin discusses his book, “Writing the Killer Treatment.” He begins by explaining several ways a screenwriter can adapt a novel into a film, and how characters can be altered from the book to the movie. He talks about his personal experiences writing for the television show Star Trek and how he allowed characters to evolve throughout the show’s history. Halperin also talks about the stylistic differences between screenplay writing and soap opera writing. He ends the interview by discussing his education at the University of Southern California and his current position as a professor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. |
