Description |
Seth Swirsky discusses his book, “Something to Write Home About.” He begins by explaining that the point of the book is that everyone has a story to tell about baseball. The book includes letters from President George Bush, Senator Ted Kennedy, Ernie Banks, Elliot Gould and Paul McCartney. Swirsky also explores the careers of several major baseball players including Babe Ruth and Joe DiMaggio. He then goes on to explain that he included transcriptions of each of the letters in the back of the book just in case the written letters are difficult to read. Later in the interview he shares his own favorite baseball memory, which involves the first game he ever attended with his father in 1969. |
