He
begins
by
explaining
that his

chronicles
the

films
of
Thomas
Dixon
. He
discusses
how
being

and
race
.
Slide

into
Dixon’s
authorship
of

work
as a

,
which
he
felt

represented
the
North’s
view
on
slavery

Civil
War
.
Slide
goes
on to
share
how
Dixon
joined
with
director
D.W
.
Griffith
to
adapt
“The
Clansman”
into the
film
“A
Birth
of a
Nation.”
