Description |
Ehud Sprinzak discusses his book, “The Ascendance of Israel's Radical Right.” Sprinzak says that there is a core group of the radical right that are settlers in the occupied territories. He talks about the Gush Emunim movement and its belief in the fundamentals of the Bible and Torah. Sprinzak also talks about the Jewish law, Halaha, and says it was mostly enacted after the exile to suit the diaspora. He describes the inflexibility of the right and its belief that God made a promise to its people. Sprinzak shares the Kahanist belief that the Arabs should be evicted and to trust God. He goes on to discuss Ariel Sharon, Galilee. Yoel Lerner, and the Temple Mount. |
