Description |
Lois Frankel discusses her book, “Nice Girls Don’t Get the Corner Office.” The book reveals 101 self-sabotaging behaviors that women learn as children. Frankel explains that these habits and behaviors are what hold them back in the workplace. Some examples that she gives are: phrasing statements as questions, covering for co-workers mistakes, pinching the company's pennies, and preferring to be addressed by a nickname. Frankel shares that she hopes that the book will help women to become more aware of when and how they are damaging their own careers. She goes on to explain that the book goes beyond identifying these negative behaviors and offers advice and tips that women can use to replace the self-defeating behaviors with effective ones. |
