AKHMIM FRAGMENTS (P. Cair. 10759, in Catalogue général des antiquités égyptiennes du Musée du Caire, ed. B. P. Grenfell and A. S. Hunt [Oxford, 1903]), a parchment codex of thirty-three leaves (15 12 cm) with several apocryphal writings in Greek: parts of the Gospel of Peter (van Haelst no. 598), the Apocalypse of Peter (van Haelst no. 617), and two fragments of the book of Enoch (van Haelst no. 575). In the binding was found a parchment page with parts of the martyrdom of Julianus (van Haelst no. 707). The fragments, discovered in 1886/1887 in Akhmim, date from between the eighth and the twelfth centuries, according to Bouriant and to Lods. Earlier datings are in van Haelst (nos. 575, 598, 617).
