‘ABD AL-‘AZIZ IBN SA’D AL-DIN. Probably a prominent Copt of the fourteenth or fifteenth century, he is known only from a note that states that a manuscript (National Library, Paris, Arabe 14, fol. A) belonged to him. This fourteenth-century Coptic manuscript contains the Arabic translation of the Pentateuch made by al-Harith ibn Sinan ibn Sinbat, a West Syrian translator of the ninth century, and well known to the Copts.
