(CE:1367b)
JOHN OF PAKE (feast day: 19 Baramhat), hermit of the fifth or sixth century who does not appear in the Synaxarion but who is well known from inscriptions of monasteries. It is probable that he was considered a saint by the monks. As the inscriptions show, he was no doubt a native of Pake, a village to the north of Minya in Middle Egypt.
