A wallpapered bedroom inside W . F . Jacobs ' house at 502 West 21st Street . [Jacobs was a worker at the First Baptist Church of Los Angeles who died in 1901.] Several articles of toiletry are laid out on a vanity . Dumbbells and slippers are on the floor beside the bed . Shoes and a robe are piled on a chair on the left side of the bed .
