women's
rights
in the
constitution
. She
discusses
how she
came
to be in
such
an
important
position
and how she
helped
convince
the
Japanese
officials
about
the
importance
of
women's
rights
in the
new
constitution
.
Joseph
Gordon
talks
about
the
effects
of
translating
the
newly
drafted
constitution
and how the
document
was
created
out
of a
kind
of "
humanism.
" He also
speculates
about
how the
Japanese
economy
was
allowed
to
flourish
after
WWII
.
