Typed notes on the bill of sale for one slave named Ben from Anthony Payton to William Augustine Washington. Assumed by historians that Washington was the nephew of President George Washington. Includes a full transcription of the letter.
Perkins' note on the Edmund Kean letter dated 1823 September 4. Includes a transcription of the ltter as well as a short summary and purchase information. Perkins describes the letter as "one page, inlaid".
