"The car in the Coconut Grove" was an early CMC prank. "The Coconut Grove" in the basement of Bridges Auditorium served as temporary CMC housing when the college first opened.
This building houses classrooms for the CMC campus. The words to the left of the entrance door are "Pitzer Hall." To the right of the door are the words "Claremont Men's College."

These residences at the northwest corner of Sixth St. and Mills Ave. were CMC's first dormitories. Formerly army barracks, they were located on the site of the present-day tower dorms.
