Description
Dorothy Rice discusses her book , “Beverly Hills with Love.” She describes how she wanted to do a series of paintings on her hometown of Beverly Hills , California . She picked memorable landmarks in the city and posed her friends outside them for paintings . Rice talks about how she paints from photographs as well as life . One of the paintings in the book features Connie Martinson herself interviewing an author from her show . Rice discusses how she wants to recreate the feel of a place through her paintings and show the mood of a city . She talks about how once she got the hang of architectural painting her work became much easier . She has also done books of painting on Israel , Las Vegas , and Manhattan .
