Description |
Laurie King discusses her book, “Locked Rooms.” She begins by explaining that the book follows the character of Mary Russell who is married to Sherlock Holmes. In the book, Mary and her husband travel to San Francisco where Mary must claim her family inheritance and the mysteries that goes along with it. King goes on to discuss her research on Sigmund Freud and dream analysis, which she conducted in preparation for this novel. She explains that this novel is one of several books that she has written on Mary Russell. Also in this interview King discusses the difficulty she had using dreams in her writing and how she tried to keep them to a minimum. |
