Any Reply Should be addressed to the Secretary The Clarendon Press Oxford 25 Jan 1916 My dear Sir, You will, I hope, have received proof of the May house article by the time this reaches you. I find that the X and me copy of proof were sent to Mr Archer, who will doubtless send the X on to you. You will find that I have inserted the necessary references to the Shakespearian text, and there are more to be added relating to the two doors; there are many instances of the two doors in the play directions of the first folio that have been obscured by modern editors. As to illustrations, I have so far nothing but the title page of Roxana (?), which I think we ought to include (with a X about its being probably not typical of the public stage)/ and the little page of Britannia's Pastorals, in which a stage front (?) is represented. It seems to have been settled by X X X that certain places of theatre should be give. I suppose these would be those given by Mr Archer in his article. Will you please
