Many, many thanks for your kindness in inviting me to spend my vacation with. you, but I am engaged to do so at my Aunt Pemberthys i¥hCornwa11, where I hope to be on August 24. , tho' I am sure I shall not enjoy myself more (if as much) as I should or did, at your charming home, which time I always recollect with pleasure. You cannot imagine the feelings of a poor pent up Londoner, on waking on a bright Autumnal morning, the gorgeous sun peering through the window, the Lark warbling forth its praise to Heavens, and the voices of the merry children, laughing in the Street, indeed everything calculated to fill his soul with boundless rapture. He joyfully rises, and hastens to complete his toilet, that he may also enjoy the freshness of the glorious morning, hurry downstairs, is saluted
