Dear Farmer
After thanking you & my kind
Hostess for a most agreeable day,
not to say anything of ye best Turbutt (crossed out)
Turbot &c &c &c--let me assure you
that I have not forgot the Justice-business-
I could wish you of the Peace, that
your warrants may do ye, business, wch. yr.
wood-shovel & a Hedge Stage perform at
present. I intended to have din'd
this day wth. my Friend Freelove, but
I was oblig'd to hurry out of Town to
morrow morning, & have really scarce
time to scribble this to you--I have
seen ye
