Description	In a letter, Garrick writes to Sir Henry Bate Dudley about their recent visit, other engagements, and a negative news article about Garrick written by a Mr. Griffin. Garrick adds a postscript about a future meeting with the Duke of Northumberland about Bate Dudley. Letter contains holes and has an added sheet of paper for support. Letter contains a watermark, postage marks, and a wax seal. Image four scan has been rotated 90 degrees to the right.

Dear Farmer After thanking you & my kind Hostess for a most agreeable day, not to say anything of ye best Turbutt (crossed out) Turbot &c &c &c--let me assure you that I have not forgot the Justice-business- I could wish you of the Peace, that your warrants may do ye, business, wch. yr. wood-shovel & a Hedge Stage perform at present. I intended to have din'd this day wth. my Friend Freelove, but I was oblig'd to hurry out of Town to morrow morning, & have really scarce time to scribble this to you--I have seen ye
