Do not pay the postage -but
simply direct your letter thus,
"Colonel d'Agui1ar
Dublin."
(not to me at all)
I know the hand & shall open it.)
Dublin, 28th Sept /39
Dearest Mrs Kean
Though my boy is first the
original cause of your so kindly writing
to me and the object of such maternal
tenderness in every act & thought of yours,
yet think not that I can be altogether
silent - or hear that you are unwell
without most anxiously enquiring how far
your health is improved by going to Brighton.
God grant it may be very much better
and that the cheering news of your beloved
son's safe arrival in America may calm your
nerves and soothe your dear affectionate
heart - no doubt you have heard from him
