Description	Kean writes to Hughes, a close friend of Kean, about his performance schedule. Kean ends the letter with a reference to money he owes and wishes to pay back. Date on letter is March 27th. Frayed letter contains postmarks for "Glasgow" and a wax seal in which a boar is visible. Letter contains a watermark for "J. Green & Son 1817." Second sheet of letter is frayed. Last page of letter has been rotated 90 degrees to the right.

Transcription	Glasgow 27th March Dear Jack/ Waiting for Sunday's intelligence ( ?) will be of no avail to me. I must come to London then or make other engagements now. Our necessities you know Jock cry loudly for the Letters. I have therefore engaged for 6 nights at Aberdeen commencing Tuesday 31st closing Monday 6th April if the Management of Drury Lane requires my Services then. I can play with them Saturday 11th but if Monday -the better or indeed if another week. I can pick it up very advantageously, ascertain this. I direct for the Aberdeen. Let me know all I owe I want to clear off all - I shall send 600£ on Saturday to (?) Poll (?)
