Description	G. C. Carr writes Thompson on behalf of Mr. Kemble in regards to Thompson's farce saying that even in its altered state, there is no chance of its success. Thompson probably refer to James Thompson and Mr. Kemble probably refers to Stephen Kemble. The page 4 scan was rotated 90 degrees clockwise. The letter contains an embossing and watermark. A portion of the letter is cut out.

Transcription	Theatre Royal Drury Lane Decr 5th 1818 Sir/ Mr. Kemble has desired me to inform you that tho' he is & has been extremely desirous for the Theatre to avail itself of the Farce you so kindly have presented to the Concern -yet on calling a Rehearsal of it yesterday, it appears to him even in its altered state not to be attended with a chance of success -and reluctantly as Mr. K. felt himself compelled to adopt this opinion -he has found the performers to labour under a similar conviction of mind.
