Gentlemen I received your Letter yesterday respecting Mr. Jones's claim on me, and I still think that it can no way be settled but by Arbitration, and even if we were to go into Court with it, it is my opinion, that an Arbitration would be recommended at last. -It is only loss of time to recapitulate the cruel man-ner in which I have been treated by Mr. Jones and his adherants, but I think it necessary most solemnly to declare, that Mr. Gibson had
