I supp'd last night at a gentleman's, who told me how attentive you were to me in Orlando, and how much you suffer'd yourself to seem p1eas'd with my Performance -Thanks for that! -Now to the great Point My little Farce met with an opposition, such as it was, that I cou'd not expect and can't think was a reasonable one It was remark'd by every body how soon one Person began to testify his disapprobation -Perhaps you will be thunderstruck when I tell you this one Person was Mr. G. Co1man -Observe, my dear Woodfa11, I tell you this upon Report; but it is the Report of a most creditable Gentleman -He wou'd not, perhaps, immediately wish to be brought into a Dispute with Mr. G. Colman; and, for my own Part, I am out of the Question -I think, if it is not too much trouble, your having the goodness to let him know you have heard this reported, and begging him to consider how dangerous a Part he acts, may have more
