His Devotion was paid to the blind little God
~~ose Aid and Assistance he used to implore
To ----secure him his Phillisx ; he wanted no more

The Fat~ert who silent, with Silence approved
The Mother, at last too, she gave her Consent
\Vhen Phillis seemed pleased and her Colin content.
4. Nine months have revolved since tlleir Love was first known; Since a Sanction was givtn for that Love to go on -So sincere seemed the Nymph that young Cupid declared No Swan in his Bonds with his Colin compared-
5. Secure as he thought of a Treasure so dear -Neither Lord, Duke nor Squire had he Reason to fear
But oh strange Reverse, to see Things brought about
For the last--------has poor Colin thrown out -
