Dear Sir -
~s Sarah Siddons thi eldest Daughter of the late George == Kemble deceased was born at the Shoulder of Mutton in this Town on July 1755 as the inc~osed Certificate indicates -I knew a Ms Hester Williams late of Ship street in this Town who is now dead; she informed me that she remembered being present at ms Siddons' Brith == she and mr Siddons were at Brecon afterwards performing together under the management of her Father, and he was then paying his Addresses to her, she was also courted by a Mr Evans of Pennant who was then the favored Lover whfch caused ~fr Siddons to compose a Song called
