Transcription	MOUNT VERNON HOTEL West Monument Street Baltimore, Feb. 4 1884 Dear I ~ Suppose Sadie has told you ere this of our visit & the pleasant time & delicious dinner we had at Rorresdale. I think the folks there are dear jolly good fellows and Sallie as sweet and angelic as female mortals can be ( he-ones, you know ; are all heavenly) ; she looked so bright and cheery that 'twas difficult to be 'lieve her an invalid. God grant that she may a be spared &make Fred a happy old Grandpa. :0: and may you & I be there to see.
