Dear Wife
I wrote you last from San Francisco inclosed with a Deed which I was obliged to have signed by you to satisfy the parties I hope you have received it as it is of considerable importance to us to have the Trade Closed, I think of having another Deed made and sent soon in case you do not receive the one sent. I have been very well since I wrote last have been back here one week we have very Rough Traveling now over the mountains no stop between San Frisco and here for sleep. Drive all night over the mountains with over loaded coaches and occasionly [illegible] as you will see by the papers sent you, by the way I engaged The Daily Enterprise to be sent you so you get it, we are having very rich times here this summer a Large city Twenty Thousand people four Daily papers I have been makeing considerable money within the last six months, I feel very well satisfied with what I have done and made but I have made some sales which were rather bad early last Spring I sold an intrest in a mine for five thousand dollars. If I had the same now I could sell it for Thirty Thousand dols
