Title	A family real estate transaction, Chandler the cynic
Creator	Chandler, N. A. (1818-1880)
Description	Chandler explains his problem with a land deed, and enlists Jane’s help. He explains that he has lost a lot of money “by bad debts and fall of stocks.” Chandler writes about his money problems and leaves instructions for Jane. He also writes a small note to Willie, offering suggestions for names for Willie’s colt, including “Uncle Abe,” “Jeff Davis,” and “Monitor.” Notations in pencil on the first page at the top read: “A family real estate transaction. Chandler the cynic. Tell Father A to keep his head cool and feet dry. Uncle Abe won’t get us two in the draw cause we ant Round if we was we are to old and if we ant to old xxx.” Pencil marks highlight certain parts of the text pertaining to the title.
