San Francisco July 10th 1860. Dear Wife, I am back here I have been up to Alpha since I wrote you I sold out the ore for levin hundred dollars and have been trying to get settled up here but am not able to for the present without makeing to much of a sacrifice. I have a large interest in the Mashoe mines yet that is not sold. I shall go over in a week or so and how long I shall stay I can’t say certain but I hope to arrange in two months so as to leave for a while I own some of the richest claims thare and I mean to hold on to some of them for a while. They are taking out rich ore at present and they are raiseing in value.
