Dear Wife
I received a letter from you last week. Harry also received one I am well as usual, so is Harry or was when he left five days since he has gone out to a new District with a party of six prospecting about seventy five miles towards [illegible]. Business is very dull here at present. Harry has had little to do since he has been here and was anxious to go on the trip. I am very sorry to hear Willie is not well I hope he will be better when I hear from you again. It seems you think I do not care or write you by the tone of your letters. It also seems you have not received my letters at least you have not acknowledged them I have sent you three within the last six months containing fifty dollars each neither of them has been acknowledged. I have only received two within the last six months one contained the picture of little Jennie I think she is pretty and want to see her and all of you very much
